Digging deep to provide water and investment opportunities in developing countries

November 26, 2008

A child dies every 20 seconds in the developing world from diseases related to drinking dirty water. In a part of the world where safe, clean water is something we all take for granted - to the extent that we waste millions of gallons of it every day -  it seems almost unimaginable that so many lives and so much potential are lost in this way.  The real tragedy is that simple, practical and relatively cheap solutions to the problem exist. This is why Auditel has chosen to support the charities Turn on the Tap and Five Talents UK, both of which aim to invest in developing countries to provide resources that empower people to help themselves and break the cycle of poverty, ill-health and dependence. Meet Auditel’s Franchisee of the year 2008

November 24, 2008
Chris Allison, MD of Auditel and Gill Gibbon, Franchisee of the Year 2008

Chris Allison, MD of Auditel and Gill Gibbon, Franchisee of the Year 2008

Congratulations to Gill Gibbon who has just won our Franchisee of the Year Award 2008. Gill was presented with her award at our annual National Conference, which we held this year at Whittlebury Hall near Silverstone. Gill is a very worthy and popular winner of this award, which we present every year during our black-tie gala dinner to the consultant we believe best exemplifies Auditel’s values.

Since joining the Network in 2002 Gill has worked very hard to build a successful cost management consultancy practice, which provides an excellent model for new and established consultants alike. But much more than this she is renowned in the Auditel network for her boundless energy and enthusiasm, her commitment and her generosity of time, knowledge and spirit. Despite a heavy workload, and the demands of a family, Gill always finds time to provide support, advice and mentoring to her colleagues and to help the head office team in our constant drive to develop the Auditel business system. Congratulations Gill from everybody in Auditel for this well-deserved accolade.

Join us at the Business Start-up Exhibition 2008

November 19, 2008

Starting a new business at a time when every news bulletin seems to presage the end of the economy as we know it might seem slightly mad but entrepreneurs know that crisis and opportunity go hand in hand. Even in the deepest recession, people still need goods and services - there will always be a demand that needs to be met by somebody.

Of course being a successful entrepreneur doesn’t have to mean shouldering all the risk of starting a new business from scratch. It can also mean investing in an existing opportunity - such as a franchise - and maximising all the possible returns, both financial and lifestyle. If you want to get off the corporate treadmill and work for yourself but have concerns about working by yourself this could well be the route for you. If so, you should come along to the Business Start-up Exhibition, which is being held at Olympia on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th November where our Business Development Manager, Ed Brewer, will be giving a presentation at 12.30pm on exactly this subject. You can also visit us on stand 65 where Ed and other members of the team will be happy to chat to you about franchising in general and the Auditel opportunity in particular.

For more information, or for free tickets call Laura March on 0800 5833355.

Tomorrow’s World of Work Today

November 13, 2008

The Chartered Management Institute recently published a document called ‘The World in 2018’ - outlining what it believes to be the most probable picture of the world of work and management in 2018. The home as a place of work and business has a big part to play in this scenario planning.

This is what the Institute had to say about business models:

“Business models will change their nature, be more diverse, more customer-centric and change more quickly. We will see a polarisation of business models from global corporations to virtual-community-based enterprises. Large corporations will grow even bigger and there will be more small niche-oriented specialised associate businesses around.”

Auditel has been operating as a ‘virtual-community-based enterprise’ offering specialist niche services since 1994 so why wait until 2018 to be part of the new world of work? If you’d like to find out more about running your own Auditel consultancy, visit our website or call us on 0800 583 3355 for more information.

We support, you grow.
