Auditel supports Xerox in introducing the first Carbon Neutrality Service verified to ISO Standard 14068

Another major client success for the procurement and carbon solutions company

Auditel is delighted to be working with Xerox to deliver to their clients a comprehensive environmental impact assessment of their print infrastructure.

Lee Freeman of Auditel commented, “The new Verified Carbon Neutrality Service launched by Xerox is an extension of their commitment to reducing emissions and supporting their clients’ sustainability goals. By providing independent verification of the outputs of this service and reviewing the claim to carbon neutrality, Auditel is assisting Xerox on their journey in a credible manner. When making claims of carbon neutrality, organisations are required to back up those claims, and verification achieves that

To make a carbon neutrality claim, an entity must be able to show they have decreased emissions through reduction activities, such as using energy efficient products and implementing behavioural or operational changes and show evidence of purchasing carbon credits to offset remaining carbon emissions.”

Independent Verification from Auditel

Lee continues, “To take it a step further, companies may choose to have an independent third-party verify their claims to ISO 14068, which adds a layer of credibility. The third-party verifier will want to see evidence that the carbon footprint has been quantified, a reduction plan has been developed, actions have been taken to reduce emissions, and carbon credits have been procured which is why Xerox are using Auditel as their independent third-party verification body”.

Wendi Latko, Vice President of Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability at Xerox says, “We are excited to be working with Auditel to offer Verified Carbon Neutrality Service to our clients. Auditel brings expertise in carbon neutrality and verification services, providing added credibility and assurance to the methodology and process we have developed to enable our new service.”
