When the threat of redundancy, or career change hits, many mid-lifers are choosing to create their own success. Figures from the Office of National Statistics, commissioned by the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self Employed (IPSE), found over the last ten years, an increase of 46.5 per cent in over 50’s entering self-employment.
