Auditel’s Innovative Network-wide Marketing Initiatives a Great Success

Franchise Partners benefit from educational webinar series centered around ‘hot issues’ in carbon solutions sector

Auditel are frequently complimented on their strong marketing resources, whether corporate brochures, newsletters or client case studies amongst others.  One of their latest client marketing initiatives has already proved extremely successful and presents another great reason for joining Auditel as a franchised Partner.

The initiative involves empowering the 120+ franchise network with personalised marketing materials that they can use to invite clients and prospective clients to a free educational webinar series on key ‘hot issues’ affecting certain business sectors.

The first webinar series was about CBAM, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. It’s a climate policy introduced by the European Union (EU) to prevent “carbon leakage” — the shifting of carbon-intensive production to countries with laxer climate policies. Although the UK is not part of the EU, CBAM affects UK businesses that trade with the EU.

CBAM is essentially a carbon tariff on certain imports into the EU. It ensures that goods imported into the EU are subject to the same carbon costs as those produced within the EU, where manufacturers pay for emissions under the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS).  The goods involved are those that involve high emissions in the production, such as cement, steel, iron, aluminium, fertilisers, electricity and hydrogen.  The goal is to level the playing field for EU businesses and to encourage greener production globally.

Auditel provide services designed to help organisations comply with CBAM requirements, mitigate potential import tariffs, and leverage carbon initiatives as a competitive advantage.

Auditel Managing Director, Chris Aston, explains more “Many businesses face compliance challenges around CBAM and are unsure what they need to do, and by when.  Auditel can assist them through delivering a CBAM Readiness Assessment, providing tailored training and workshops and providing solutions for emissions reporting.  We have a team of specially trained franchisee Partners that form our CBAM Advisory Team, and these will be the people who deliver the workshops and projects directly, though through ‘Joint Venturing’ it means anyone in the Auditel network can identify and secure client opportunities and share the fees generated”  .”

He continues “The CBAM webinar series is a free educational presentations to help introduce the basics of CBAM who may be affected by EU CBAM or the forthcoming UK CBAM which is also coming in next year too.  It’s a major challenge for many manufacturers and exporters and so our CBAM specialist team are extremely busy.  This creates a great opportunity for the whole Auditel network to develop new clients as well as support existing ones.  CBAM works then as a ‘door opener’ for other Auditel services. Our CBAM Maturity Model also helps businesses transition from mere compliance to integrating carbon management into their core operations”.

“We’ve given all of our network a personalised invite with a QR code so they can invite prospects and clients to register for the webinar, which means we can link each company back to the correct franchise partner to follow up with.  Even from the very first webinar there have been lots of meetings arranged which is great for all, and especially for those who are in the building phase of their Auditel business.  It’s given long-standing franchisee another income stream within their existing client base too.” adds Aston

The series of CBAM webinars has been followed up by a similar approach around PAS 2080, another huge legislation challenge facing the construction industry and supporting business sectors.  PAS 2080 is a carbon management standard for infrastructure and buildings.  It affects the entire value chain: owners, designers, contractors, suppliers.  It’s driven by the need to reduce carbon emissions in line with climate goals and to meet client expectations.

Auditel has developed a structured 7-step process that ensures businesses not only meet PAS 2080 requirements but also optimise carbon management for long-term success. The process begins with a face-to-face PAS 2080 workshop to provide clarity on certification requirements and conduct a preliminary gap analysis. This is followed by a detailed report, outlining compliance gaps and a roadmap for achieving full certification.

In the webinar, Auditel’s PAS 2080 advisory team will cover a session covering key basics such as:

  • Does PAS 2080 apply to me?
  • What are the opportunities & risks to my business?
  • How to achieve compliance

Aston explains why Auditel have adopted this approach “With the growing demand for guidance to help organisations navigate PAS 2080:2003, the PAS2080 team have put together a client-facing webinar providing practical understanding and insights to help organisations comply.   To help the franchisee network to promote this webinar to their clients, prospects and social networks, we have produced a promotional flyer and a graphic for use on LinkedIn and HubSpot.

The take-up level has been fantastic and we have over one hundred individuals registered for the next webinar already, and it’s growing daily, and still two weeks to go.” he adds.
